Tama County Supervisors, Dan Anderson, Kendall Jordan and Larry Vest, approved two utility permits Monday morning, Windstream, along with the Department of Transportation, requested permits for work to be done on Highway 30 east of Tama. There request is for work on X, Y, and W Avenues. This has to do with preparing to change Highway 30 in this area from a 2-lane to 4-lane. Windstream also requested a utility permit for work to be done in Carlton Township, Sections 9 and 10. County Auditor, Laura Kopsa, told supervisors she had received a request from Jake Jacobson, Toledo, to have his name removed from the Condemnation Board, in the People with Knowledge of Real Estate section. This was approved. Kopsa also asked for the approval of a renewal of a 3-year contract, 2017-2019, with Cost Advisory Services out of Johnston, Iowa. She had received a letter from Jeff Lorenz, President of the company. Kopsa told supervisors she had been very pleased with their coverage in the past. Claims in the amount of $315,918.03 were approved for payment.
